SECOND SKIN AFTERCARE
Using Waterproof Transparent Bandages:
You can leave your transparent bandage on for 2-5 days. This is water-resistant, so you can shower like normal just don’t scrub it with a loofa or wash cloth. This can compromise the bandage.
If the bandage becomes uncomfortable or itchy, or you feel like you’re having a reaction to the adhesive you can take it off and resume a standard after care.
If it is leaking, it needs to come off, and resume a standard aftercare.
Taking off the bandage:
When you take the bandage off, take it off in the shower in the same manner you would pull a command strip off the wall. Pull down with the skin instead of like a bandaid. The warm water helps break the adhesive apart from the skin.
If its being really stubborn or there are some hairs in it, you can use some antibacterial soap to help break the adhesive apart as well.
Once you have removed the bandage, wash it really well with antibacterial soap and warm water. Make sure it is not slimy or goopy; this is just plasma build up.
Now that it’s clean, let air dry, or dry by blotting with a paper-towel.
Apply lotion as needed for the next 5-10 days. Any time it is itchy, it should be moisturized. This will help rejuvenate the skin faster.
Tattoos using transparent bandage heal in about 5-10 days but still can take up to 3-6 weeks for the skin to be completely rejuvenated.

STANDARD AFTERCARE
Wash with antibacterial soap and warm water 3-6 times daily. More if you are doing dirty/sweaty activities - keep it clean!
After every wash for the first 3 days put a very thin layer of Aquaphor on the tattoo. Should be shiny - not glossy/thick.
After the first 3 days switch to a scent-free and dye-free water based lotion. Examples are Lubriderm, Jergens, Aveeno, etc. Use this any time the tattoo is dry or itchy.
DO NOT SCRATCH/PICK YOUR TATTOO! This can pull the ink out.
DO NOT submerge your tattoo in a bath, hot tub, pool, etc. in the first 2 weeks (or when scabbing has healed).
Do not expose your tattoo to excessive sun while it is healing. After it heals I suggest protecting it with sunscreen when in the sun.
